Dal Tadka

Cook arhar dal with turmeric and salt until soft and well mashed. Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, garlic, and dried red chillies. Once aromatic, add chopped onions and sauté until golden. Stir the tempering into the dal and mix well. Crush Rajesh Kasoori Methi and sprinkle it over the dal, allowing it to infuse its earthy flavour. Simmer briefly and garnish with coriander. Serve hot with rice or chapati.
